1.WHAT JIO SAYS ABOUT AI ?
In a filing with India’s Telecom Regulatory Authority (Trai), Reliance Jio identified significant
opportunities to use AI to improve network performance, overall QoS, spectrum management,
security, and customer service in the telecom sector. I said yes.
2.WHY AI DONT NEED TO BE STANDARDISE?
Airtel countered, saying Trai’s focus should be on how to use AI in the telecommunications
sector, rather than defining AI and limiting its scope. “Given the early stages of AI development in
India, there is absolutely no need to standardize AI terminology as this will not lead to beneficial
results,” the telecom company said in a filing to Trai.
Jio believes AI and 5G work synergistically. 5G will drive the development of IoT services by
connecting giant devices, he says, and those connected devices will generate massive amounts of
data that can be used to train and model AI.
3.HOW AI SHOULD BE TRAI INSISTING BY JIO?
“Jio Trai seeks to support the development of a unified, accountable, and authoritative AI
terminology/definition for innovation that can be achieved through responsible organizational
development. The AI environment is driven by principles that should be developed by various
representatives of non-statutory MSB experts,” Jio said.
