1.WHAT IS THE USAGE OF AI IN ARCHEOLOGY?
Scientists have used artificial intelligence (AI) to identify an unknown ancestral hominin species that modern humans have encountered. About 80,000 years ago, when a portion of the population that was already made up of modern humans left the continent of Africa and migrated to other continents, giving rise to all of today’s population, it became known as Out of Africa. What is being done has happened.
2.WHICH IS AI FOUND IN ARCHEOLOGY?
Using AI, researchers have found evidence of what they call a “third introgression.” A group of archaic “ghosts” that were interbred with modern humans when they escaped from Africa. “This population was either related to the Neanderthal-Denisovan clade or had earlier diverged from the Denisovan lineage,” the researchers wrote in the article.
3.HOW AI HELPED THE THEORY?
While they can’t rule out other possibilities, their theory is consistent with the recently discovered hybrid specimen in Denisova said by a genomics scientist at the University of Estonia in a press statement at the time of the discovery.
They set out to find these highly divergent spots in the genome to identify Neanderthals and Denisovans and see if they explained the whole picture. Subtracting the Neanderthal and Denisovan parts, the genomes are still very different.
